Short Description/Keyword: Punctated/Incised jar from the Pocahontas Site (22HI500), Hinds County, Mississippi. The jar is tempered with fine particles
of mussel shell. This jar could be classified as "Dupree," a variety of the archaeological type "Avoyelles Punctated." The jar originally had
four small loop handles; only one handle is now intact. The jar was removed from the conical burial mound (Mound B) at Pocahontas by James A.
