Stratum: V

Debris makeup of Surface B10005, consisting of a deep layer of loosely laid pebbles (30-40%) mixed with many sherds in a matrix of brown-grey loess and some charcoal. Perhaps this represents a method for surfacing interior rooms.

Located between 1.51 m. and 2.74 m. from the South balk and between 1.0 m. and 2.73 m. from the East balk at top level 486.55 m. below Surface B10005 to bottom level 486.45 m. above Wall B10011 and Surface B10019. Ran to Walls B10003, B10004, B10006 and B10007. This deep fill of pebbles and sherds mixed with silt was necessitated either because of an earlier pit which caused sinkage or because of the rapidly increased height brought about by the construction of Wall B10003.
