| Ware Paste: Color--5YR reddish yellow 7/6, Inclusions--some small to large limestones, few small sand, Firing--gray core, Hardness--hard. Exterior--2.5YR light red 6/6, with slip 10YR white 8/1 and 5YR pinkish gray 7/2. Iron II. 8th-7th c. B.C. Broken irregularly across lower face and through bottom of neck. Handmade. At break at neck, end of tenon extending from bottom of moldmade head is visible with clay applied by hand around tenon. This seems to be a way to reinforce the join at the neck. | |||
