Fragment of human figurine preserving left torso including lower shoulder and bent left arm. Upper arm not visible, however, lower arm crosses front of torso just above waist and terminates in a mitt-like hand with separate thumb. Thickened sash or belt visible at waist with beginnings of modelled folds falling vertically down front of long skirt beneath. Press marks present on back of fragment. Color: 5Y pale olive 6/3. Debris layer consisting of hard packed light brown clay, 15% stones and bricky soil. Now understood to have been backfill in a trench across the eastern part of Area K7. Located 4 m. from the South balk and up to 3.10 m. from the East balk (at widest extent) at top levels 481.8 m. (W), 481.87 m. (E) below debris K7001 to bottom level 481.38 m. above Cobble Layer K7006 and Fill K7007.

Ware Paste: Color--5Y pale olive 6/3, Inclusions--few medium lime, Firing--no core, Hardness--hard. Exterior--2.5Y pale yellow 7/3. Broken horizontally across left shoulder; vertical break down center front of torso with slightly irregular break across level of upper hips. Hollow - Single - Frontal mold. Length of arm from elbow to fingers: 2.68; Width of arm at wrist: 0.74; Length of hand: 1.42; Width of hand: 1.08; Width of belt: 0.77; Distance between bottom of hand to belt: 0.60; Length of thumb from tip to wrist: 0.87; Width of thumb ~ 0.46; Width of hand at wrist: 0.68. 5th c. B.C. or later
