| Rear legs and tail of male horse on plinth. Fragment of horse figurine preserving hindquarters of animal. Bent rear legs indicate rearing horse. Tail fully extended. Precise anatomical detail rendered by modeling with musculature of haunch and legs indicated; genitals and hooves represented. No detail on preserved back. Rear of horse appears against a background, indicating horse was represented in relief. |

Stratum: I Locus: I8003 Basket: IV.I8.4 Top soil, similar to L. I8001 in the Eastern half of the Area, with a concentration of pebble to boulder-sized stones in the East. It extends 5.00 m from the North balk, and 2.00 m from the East balk to and partially covering Wall I8002. At top levels 482.16 m. (E) and 481.89 m. (W) to bottom level 481.71 m. (N) above L. I8004 and (S)481.61 m. (S) above L. I8006. It lies partially above L.I8002 and I8010. It is possible that a pit was dug into its NE corner, but the possible pit was only discerned at the East balk line. |
