NOTE: This is a digital version of the Field IV report for excavation in 1992, 1993, and 1999 at Tell Halif in southern Israel. This version of the field report is an experiment in "total" publication of the recovered data: to publish in digital format every artifact, including all diagnostic sherds; the theoretical underpinning for this total publication experiment is that an excavation is obligated to publish in such a way that future investigations will have access to the data that will permit alternate interpretations of excavated results.

By selecting the "Background" tile you will have access to a brief overview of the Field IV excavation. By selecting the "Map" tile you will have access to the summary report of excavations in Field IV. The plan of excavation areas in the upper right of this page is active. Each Area (F7, F8, G7, etc.) will lead to a report on the excavation within the area. At this level you will find the plans, section drawings, artifacts, sherds, etc. available for viewing. All materials are listed beneath the locus to which they have been assigned.
