Tell Halif, Field I, Stratum XA, Locus 9025.

Locus 9025 is a pit, cut from the level of Surface 9018, used with this surface and related architecture as a garbage or refuse pit. Contained ash (60%), a boulder, cobble, pebble-sized stones (on bottom). Contained several restoreable vessels, two grinding stones, ballista, saddle quern fragment, another quern, several long flint blades, and scrapers. Located between 61 cm. and 1.87 m. fron the South balk, 80 cm. from the East balk. Also extends a few centimeters into the 9/8 balk. At top level 483.74 m. below 9009 to bottom level 483.05 m. above wall 9029. This pit cut surface 9018, debris 9018.1, fill 9024, and cut into wall 9028/9029.
